ΕasyJet, Europe’s Fifth Largest Airline is About to Recruit Over 1,200 New Cabin Crew
EasyJet is about to embark on a huge recruitment campaign with plans to hire over 1,200 new cabin crew in the coming months. The airline said it will be boosting its staff numbers to help aid the carrier’s growth throughout Europe. EasyJet currently employs 6,900 cabin crew across the continent so this latest recruitment drive is going to significantly bolster the airline’s workforce.
Tina Milton, who is EasyJet’s Head of Cabin Service, commented: “EasyJet is a fantastic company to work for with everyone across the airline working together as one team to ensure we provide the highest standard of service for our customers.” She said she was “delighted to be opening recruitment” with applications now being accepted on the official easyJet careers website.
As the fifth largest airline in Europe, EasyJet currently operates 880 routes across 31 countries. The airline has cabin crew based at 28 stations across Europe and is offering both permanent and fixed term contracts at the majority of its bases. Although EasyJet is a low-cost carrier, it offers one of the best salary and benefits packages in the industry including 10% commission on all onboard sales.
New cabin crew will work onboard the airline’s fleet of Airbus aircraft, including the brand new A320Neo. Here are some of the minimum requirements that the candidates must have:
- At least 18 years old
- Between 5’2” (157.5 cm) to 6’3” (190cm) in height (without shoes)
- Able to speak and write English fluently
- A confident swimmer – able to swim 25 meters and tread water for 60 seconds.
- No visible tattoos or body piercings
