EASA Cabin Crew Attestation in Greece: Where Can I Work?
If you are planning a career as Cabin Crew in Europe, one of the first qualifications you will come across is the EASA Cabin Crew Attestation. But what exactly does it allow you to do, where is it recognised, and what happens after you receive it?
For aspiring Cabin Crew — as well as experienced crew members coming from airlines outside the European Union — understanding the difference between a Cabin Crew Attestation and airline-specific training is essential.
What is the EASA Cabin Crew Attestation?
The Cabin Crew Attestation is issued following the completion of the initial training required under the European aviation regulatory framework.
According to EASA, a Cabin Crew Attestation issued in one EU Member State is recognised across all EU Member States. This means that you do not need to obtain a new Attestation simply because you apply to an airline based in another EU country.
However, the Attestation should not be confused with a “worldwide Cabin Crew licence”. Different regions of the world operate under different aviation regulatory frameworks and requirements.
Where can I apply for Cabin Crew jobs?
Holding a valid Cabin Crew Attestation allows you to apply for Cabin Crew positions with airlines operating under the relevant European regulatory framework, subject to each airline’s recruitment requirements.
This can open the door to opportunities with:
- Scheduled passenger airlines
- Charter airlines
- ACMI operators
- Seasonal airlines
- European airlines recruiting Cabin Crew for bases in different countries
Your career therefore does not necessarily have to be limited to Greece. Depending on the airline, vacancies may be available at bases throughout Europe.
Does the Cabin Crew Attestation mean I can immediately start flying?
No — and this is an important distinction.
The Cabin Crew Attestation demonstrates that you have successfully completed the required initial Cabin Crew training. After being recruited, the airline will provide the additional training required for its own operation.
This may include training related to the aircraft type, airline procedures, safety and emergency procedures, security requirements and other operator-specific subjects.
Think of the Attestation as an important first professional qualification for entering the European Cabin Crew recruitment market — not as the final stage of airline training.
What if I already work as Cabin Crew outside the EU?
This is particularly relevant for experienced Cabin Crew members who have worked for airlines outside the European regulatory framework.
Previous flying experience can be extremely valuable when applying for a European airline. However, previous employment outside the EU does not automatically mean that you hold an EU Cabin Crew Attestation.
For this reason, experienced Cabin Crew returning to Europe or seeking employment with a European operator may need to complete the appropriate initial training leading to a Cabin Crew Attestation.

Preparing for the Airline Interview
Even excellent technical training does not guarantee success at an airline assessment. Airlines also evaluate communication, presentation, teamwork, customer-service awareness and the candidate’s overall performance throughout the recruitment process.
AST therefore also offers dedicated Cabin Crew Interview Preparation, covering CV preparation, grooming and presentation, Open Day and assessment preparation, video interviews and final interview techniques.
