Water Survival Training

On Sunday, June 4, 2017, in the Municipal Swimming Pool of Piraeus, we conducted as part of the Cabin Crew Attestation, a training course on survival in water. The students were trained in the following:

• Survival kits (raft & survivors) and contents
• The best method for boarding the life raft
• Seating arrangements in the raft
• Basic principles of survival in the water
• ELTs
  Correct donning of a lifejacket
• Swim one length of the pool without a lifejacket
• Swim one length of the pool with a life jacket
• Deflate and re-inflate lifejacket in the water
• Team swimming to the raft
• Swim and retrieve an unconscious person
• Form a group circle HUDDLE position
• Boarding the life raft
• Practice assisting other persons into the life raft
